"Praying the Rosary: at Home with Mary"
NEW HOME ROSARY PROGRAM ✝️
St. Agnes Parish will be starting a "Praying the Rosary: at Home with Mary" program to teach and encourage praying the Rosary.
Individuals or families can sign up to take the beautiful statue of Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes, home for a week at a time, to say the Rosary aloud. A sign-up sheet will be available in the vestibule.
Each time slot is a week in length. The statue, in its box, can be picked up on Saturday or Sunday but must be returned to the vestibule on Saturday, before the 5 p.m. Mass, so that the next person/family can easily collect it.
Once it is in the home, please place it in a spot of honor, such as a mantle, the top of a bookcase, or the center of a dining table. Flowers or candle near the statue would be appropriate, if possible.
A pamphlet on "How to say the Rosary" will be included in the instructions that accompany the box. Some rosaries will also be included. Additional rosaries will be available, if needed, in the PSR office.
Before saying the Rosary, it would be appropriate to mention any special intentions that need prayer, such as: family members, the sick, the faithful departed, world peace, an end to abortion, our country, world leaders, the Pope, all clergy and religious, the persecuted Church, etc. Each family member might want to remember someone or something.
